Hi I'm Ben

I'm a new dad, a sports lover, I love eating good food, I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a new dad, and I love it! My wife and I had the wonderful privelage of adopting our daughter Braelyn at birth. It is one of the best things that has happened to me. I call my daughter "a pistol" and she has a personality to match her nickname. She keeps my wife and I on our toes but makes us laugh along the way and we wouldn't have it any other way. I enjoy playing, watching and anything to do with sports. I've coached youth roller hockey, and really enjoy working with youth. I try to get out on the golf course at least once a month and I enjoy playing basketball. I have a passion for music. My wife says I don't have any rythum until she saw me dance. She now just laughs at me and says that I am a dork. My dream is to be a rock star for a day. I am a pharmaceutical rep for a great company that I have enjoyed working for. I like interacting with people, creating a relationship of trust that helps them grow their business and market a drug that helps people with fatal diseases. It is fulilling to me to know that the medications that I sell help people live a longer and achieve their wellness goals.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always known Mormonism. I grew up in the Church being that my parents were and are members. Although, over the years, I have come to know the simple truths, doctirine, and all that I know about the Church through the feelings of peace, love and assurity that come through the Holy Ghost. I have seen the Lord's hand in play throughout my life in decisions, blessings and learning experiences. He has blessed me with the biggest blessing; an eternal family and the blessings of the holy temple. It gives me peace to know where I have come from, why I am here and where I am going; that their is a plan that Heavenly Father has given us to obey and return to him as a family. I know that this Church is true and that the the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored. It also gives me peace to know and take council from living prophets. I believe and know that The Bible and The Book of Mormon are testaments of Jesus Christ and help us come closer to Him and know how to be guided in our life. I am very grateful for my membership in the Church. The priciples have helped me serve my fellow man and follow God's will and to know his plan. Service is the cornerstone principle in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and part of His plan to be able to return and live with Him again.

How I live my faith

I have had various Church assignments. Most currently, I have taught and helped out in the 14-16 year old's. I go on frequent campout and Scouting activities with them. Their is never a dull moment with teenagers. We also do various service projects in the community such as repainting houses, neighborhood landscaping and helping out at the local food bank. I really enjoy being around teenagers and youth. I like to see their personal and spiritual progression. I also like the fact that everyone in the Church has a "job". This job is a non-paid position that is purely dedicated service to the members of your congragation. I have had the opportunity to serve others and make life-long friends through service in the church.
