Hi I'm Jerry

I was raised on a small wheat farm in Eastern Washington with two brothers and two sisters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Physical Therapist and have my own business. I have been in practive for over 30 years, and love my profession. I grew up playing football, basketball, and baseball, and love most outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and camping. I am married, and we have been together for 40 years. I am the father of 3 married children and 10 grandchildren. My children were also athletic, and we enjoyed attending their games, and activities. Since our children do not live near us, we look forward to family reunions together, and going to their homes to visit occasionally. I served on a mission for our church in France, and then later served as a combat medic in the Viet Nam War.

Why I am a Mormon

After being an Altar-boy for twelve years in the Catholic church, I was introduced to the LDS Faith when my older brother was converted. I met with the missionaries for two weeks, to investigate why my brother had made such a drastic change in his life. I immersed myself in study and prayer with both churches, and soon felt strongly that I should be baptized and join the LDS Church. I felt an overwhelming conviction that the Church was true, and that Joseph Smith was the instrument the Lord used to restore the gospel upon the Earth. I have gained a stronger testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that the Book of Mormon is a true record of God's dealings with people who lived on the American continent, and that we have a prophet in these days to guide us by revelation from God.

How I live my faith

The Church has encouraged me to be honest in my dealings with people and businesses in our community. We strive to obey the law of the land, and participate in civic and community activities. I have served in many positions in the Church: teaching Sunday School classes, doing missionary programs, working in the Boy Scout program, and being active in leadership roles. All of our Church programs assist in helping strengthen the family, so I have tried to be a loving husband, an involved father, and good provider. This is what I feel the Lord would want me to do.
