Hi I'm Addie

I'm an Army wife, a mother of three, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy playing volleyball, reading, scrapbooking, dancing, attending the theatre, organizing stuff, and watching my family. I love to just watch my children play and interact with one another, they are so amazing! They do the cutest things and one of their favorite things to do is put on some music and dance around the living room. I also love just being with my husband, we could be cleaning the kitchen and I am more than happy just because we are together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but like everyone else I had to find out for myself that this truly is the Lord's church. I have felt the spirit touch my heart many times, my earliest memory was while I was singing a primary song (that is like a hymn for children) to myself called "A Child's Prayer", I felt the spirit fill me up with happiness, in that moment I knew that Our Heavenly Father really is there and he really does hear and answer our prayers. As I grew older I remembered that experience and it helped me to know that I could turn to my Father in Heaven to know for sure the truthfulness of the church. I received my answer, the church is true. To me the spirit always feels like a rush of happiness that can not be smothered by any outside force. I am a Mormon because it brings me happiness that I know can last forever.

How I live my faith

I try to do my very best each day to live and serve as I know the Lord wants me too. I did serve as a full time missionary in beautiful southern Chile. I am grateful for the amazing people that I met there and the growth that I obtained as a daughter of God. My most recent calling in the church was to help teach the children. Children are so amazing! We so often underestimate them, but they are strong, they are capable, and they are often more sensitive to the whisperings of the spirit than adults. It has been a privilege, and a growing experience for me to be able to teach them that they are children of God, true princes and princesses to the mighty king of heaven.
