Hi I'm Carly

Both of my grandpas were farmers and now I'm married to one! We live in the middle of an apple orchard with our six kids.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mother of six kids. Despite the piles of laundry and the constant little messes throughout the day I love what I do. I try to squeeze in time for crafts or try a new recipe I've seen on a blog. We like to spend time together as a family. Our kids range in age from 9 yrs. to 8 months old so there is not a lot of down time but we have a lot of fun together. Family Home Evening on Monday nights has become our favorite night of the week to gather our kids together and share not only scripture stories but a lot of laughs too. Life is busy but we feel so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon so I've been taught from my childhood about the gospel and the doctrine of the church. I have sought to know for myself if the things I've been taught are true and time and time again my belief in this church and its teachings have been confirmed. I feel Heavenly Father's hand in my life and have witnessed his love for me through the many ways he has blessed me and guided me. I find great peace in knowing I can teach this gospel to my children and it can be a source of protection and guidance for them in a world full of discord and lacking in values. I am a Mormon because I believe God has a plan for us to return to live with Him and our families again. Being a member of this church makes it possible.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church each Sunday. I partake of the sacrament each week and renew the covenants I made at baptism to always remember Jesus Christ and to keep his commandments. As a family we pray together morning and night and read scriptures together each day. I strive to live my life in a way that would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father and to "be an example of the believers."
