Hi I'm Steph

I grew up in the Northwest. I've been married for 18 years. I have four kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up LDS all of my life. I met my husband in college. He was interested in Mormons and had a few friends who where also Mormon. He met with some missionaries and he learned more about the church. He was baptized and we were married. We have four children. I enjoy being with my family, watching any sport my children participate in and bargain shopping. I belong to a book club. I enjoy working out. I also love entertaining. It's the best to have a big crowd at my house, with lots of food, fun and laughter.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I had parents who were a great example in my life. I was taught morals and values growing up. As I grew up I knew I had to realize the truth for myself and could no longer rely on my parents beliefs. This was hard to do. I remember praying as a child to know if this was for me and as I prayed I could feel the spirit wash over me. I always knew that I was never alone. I had a Heavenly Father who loved me and watched over me. As I came to this knowledge I grew and my faith grew. When I had children, I had a strong desire to be a better person than I was. This required a lot of prayer and reading the scriptures. I learned more of Christ and his sacrifice for us. I learned of his Atonement for us. This knowledge helped me recognize the importance of my belief in Christ. I know he is my/our Savior. Because of his sacrifice for us we can be an eternal family. Christ is central in my life and I try to make Him the center of my family's lives also. I know following Christ's teachings is my only path to true happiness. I am grateful for being raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know we have a prophet, Thomas S. Monson, who leads and guides us. I know Joseph Smith restored this church to the earth and translated the Book of Mormon. I know I'm a better person today because of my beliefs.

How I live my faith

I help with the young women, ages 12-13, in my area. This is a great opportunity to help the youth. To support their parents and be another influence in their lives. We do fun activities and we also help them grow spiritually. I also enjoy helping those around me. I am always hoping to find a way to help or support others in my community. Our church has such a great support system in place. We try to help those who may need a meal after having a baby or an injury or for a show of support. There is always someone around who is willing to help my children, husband and I. I am truly grateful for it.
