Hi I'm Kayla.

I'm a mother, military wife, daughter and childcare manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother to a beautiful baby girl. I'm the wife of a military police officer who recently returned from serving his second tour in Iraq. My husband was deployed less than two weeks after we were married, and returned after our 1 year anniversary. We found out I was pregnant the day he left for Iraq the second time. He was home for the birth of our baby girl and the first 2 weeks of her life, before returning to finish out his tour. He returned home when our baby girl was 3 months old. I am currently a student and full time employee. I enjoy scrap booking, crafting, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Through trials and tribulations in my life I have to come to truly know my Heavenly Father and Savior. Without them I would not have had the strength to make it through two deployments without my husband and having to take care of our new baby without him. I am not perfect and through the atonement of Jesus Christ I know I can repent of my sins and be forgiven. I know that if I rely on him and do my best to live his commandments, that I can one day return to live with him. I am so happy to be sealed to my family for time and all eternity. Knowing that I will be able to live with my family when we leave this earth is such a blessing and makes the hardship of death a little easier. I truly believe that this is the true church of God. I strive to live the gospel and love so that I can return to live with Him again.

How I live my faith

Throughout my years in the church I have participated in many callings in the church. I spent many years teaching the children on Sundays and participating with them in activities throughout the week. Their sweet spirits are so fun to work with and they often taught me more than I taught them. This is such a dark world and in such hard times it is important for parents to teach their kids and strengthen them in the home, so that they can strive to do what's write in such a troubling world. I feel so blessed to live within such a community that my surrounding peers can be an example to be not only while we are at church but in our daily lives. There is a great bond, and I only hope that through my example and living the faith, I can help bring others into this wonderful community.
