Hi I'm Paula

I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. I like to sing and I direct a women's choir. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of 5 children and now I have 11 grandchildren. I grew up enjoying performing in plays and singing in choirs. I am now the director of a community women's choir. I attended 2 years of college and was able to take some classes from my husband and with my oldest daughter. I have always been a homemaker and I am glad that I had that special time to be with my children. I have never felt cheated that I wasn't out in the workplace. I liked having the freedom being a homemaker gave me. Yes, we didn't have an excess amount of money, but I found ways that I could feel fulfilled and have quality time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon Church. Many of my ancestors joined in the early years after the church was organized. They were persecuted for their beliefs and some of them died along the plains while making their way to Salt Lake City. My ancestors legacy has given me a great amount of faith and I have never doubted my testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have had many faith promoting experiences in my life that adds to my faith. Some of these experiences would seem minor to people not of my faith and say that they are just coincidences, but when I have prayed for something troubling to me or about an insecurity I have and my prayer is answered, I know that my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the church, throughout the years, from being the president of different women's organizations to tending the little children in the nursery. I've loved every opportunity to serve in the church. I have served in many music callings and have worked in the Rexburg Idaho Temple for the past 6 1/2 years. I currently serve as a Family History Consultant and teach a Family History class. I also have just received a mission call to serve in Brazil as an area welfare missionary. I am trying to do better about reading my Sunday School assignment each week so that I am prepared to learn. I also try to read the monthly magazine that is put out by the church.
