Hi I'm Josiah

My Name is Josiah. I am an Arizona cowboy, and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

My hobby is team roping. I have a small acreage where I keep my three horses and my roping steers. I practice three to five times a week and go to local roping competitions occasionally. Having horses makes me popular with my grandchildren. I also have a swing set and a sandbox at “The Barn.” My personal philosophy was summed up by Hunter S. Thompson, an American journalist. “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a Ride!’”

Why I am a Mormon

I donate my time two days a week at a welfare cannery. In an effort to further justify my existence, I serve in a Jail Ministry at our county jails. We conduct weekday scripture study sessions with the incarcerated and bring them messages of love and hope. We help them understand they cannot have fallen far enough to be out of reach of the Savior’s atonement. We help them know of His love for them and of His accessibility.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because the Spirit has borne witness to me that this is His church reinstituted on the earth in our times. I personally feel the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and want to share His blessings with others.
