Hi I'm Marianne

I was born in Idaho but spent most of my life in Arizona. I love to spend time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 5 wonderful children and 6 amazing grandchildren. I love swimming, reading the scriptures, listening to uplifting music, shopping with my daughters, playing with my grandchildren and going on dates with my husband. In 1993 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia which makes my days a little more challenging than they used to be. I have learned a lot about the Atonement and how Jesus Christ can take our burdens and make them light if we trust in Him. I have felt His help and His love so many times. I am so grateful for Jesus Christ and for the love He has for all of us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born and raised a Mormon but also because every time I read the Book of Mormon I feel the spirit testifying to me that what I am reading is true. It is such a wonderful feeling! I also feel that way when I go to church and take the sacrament each Sunday. I love to remember Jesus and think about Him and commit to be more like Him that coming week. Another place I feel the spirit is in the Temple. I am very blessed to have a Temple just a few minutes from our home! It is wonderful to go to the Temple as often as we can and to feel of Gods love there and to be so close to Him. It truly is the closest thing to heaven on this earth. I also feel the spirit when I pray to my Heavenly Father. I know He answers my prayers and that He cares about me and wants to help me through this life. I am so grateful for our wonderful prophet to guide us in these crazy last days before Jesus Christ comes again. I know we will be safe if we follow his counsel and guidance. He says what Heavenly Father wants us to know. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart and I hope to be faithful to the end of my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going about serving others as Jesus Christ did. I try to follow His example each day, and even though I usually fall short, at least I am striving each day to be a little better than the day before. I love my 4 year old class that I teach each week. The kids are so full of life and they love Jesus so much and want to be like Him and follow Him. I love our ward family. We serve each other and so we learn to love each other. We are a great strength to each other in good times and in hard times. We try to be there for each other as we strive to follow the Saviors example. I love to visit with ladies in the ward and talk about the joy the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings into our lives. I love for new members to come to our ward so I can get to know of their goodness and feel of their testimony of Jesus Christ. I love to share my testimony with others. I know this church is true and I am so glad to be a part of this wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ.
