Hi I'm Lance

I teach freshman mathematics at a university. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been teaching math at the college level for 21 years. I like helping math students to work at problems until they finally say "Is that all?" "Yes, that's all." I also have a kind, resourceful wife, and we have 10 children living.

Why I am a Mormon

As a teenager, I knew my parents knew this Church was the Lord's true church, but I didn't know it for myself. Over a period of years I struggled through prayer and through living the gospel to find out for myself whether this church was truly the Lord's. Finally when I really desired to know, when I was willing to do what the Lord wanted me to, and when I was willing to share with others my testimony, then the Lord answered me. He helped me to know inside myself that, yes, this is the Lord's true church. I've sought to share my testimony with others ever since.

How I live my faith

I'm president of the men's organization in my ward (congregation). I visit families each month to see how they are doing and whether they have any needs I or the church can help them meet. I also receive reports from other such teachers and encourage them in their work. I encourage the men in our ward with their employment goals and seek to teach them how to be better husbands, fathers, and servants of our Lord.
