Hi I'm Sunny Farr

I live in a small town in the mountains of Arizona. I am a grandmother and just became a great-grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a reader and I have studied many religions and gained a respect for their beliefs. I have 6 children, one is in the military, one in prison, one is a single mom, one is a military contractor overseas, a single daughter and one that lives in Florida with a wife and 4 children. Two of my children struggle with mental illness. I am an average cook, a terrible seamstress and my house has dust bunnies. This may be different from the Mormon stereotype of a mom, but I love the Lord and do my best to serve Him. I am learning to text and use Facebook to keep in contact with my children and grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

My children's struggles and challenges have helped me to trust in the Savior's attonement and His love for me and each of my children, no matter their choices. He loves them and helps to bear my burdens as I continue to love and support them. I find in the scriptures the answers and counsel I need to continue this life's journey. Because of my son's service in Iraq, I keep him in my heart and prayers, and all those like him who leave family and home to serve our country. It comforts me to know that if I live as my Savior, Jesus Christ has taught me that I will have my family forever.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a worker in the Snowflake Temple. I teach Sunday School for the 16 and 17 year old boys and girls. They are amazing! I have been a Boy Scout Den Mother. I serve in our women's organization visiting other women and learning new skills and talents, among those skills - technology, like Skype and Facebook.
