Hi I'm Jeannie

I am a music teacher at a local Methodist preschool, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for over 17 years. I have three children. I am proud of my southern heritage. My children are 6th generation Mormon on both sides of their family. My ancestors were some of the first people to join the Mormon church in the state of South Carolina. In 1990, I had the privilege of serving a mission in the Arizona, Tucson mission. I love to read and jog. Teaching children about music brings me joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born a Mormon, but there comes a time in every person's life that a choice has to be made as to how they want to live. For me, this choice was easy. Every good thing I have ever received is because of my faith. The gospel of Jesus Christ has provided me with answers to the questions I have about life. As I have been faced with trials, it is my faith in Jesus Christ, and my understanding of His atonement that has lifted me up and given me comfort. The greatest gift I have been given is my family. I am thankful to know that families can be together forever. I know that I have a Father in heaven who loves me--I am a child of God, and I am not alone. I am grateful to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ every day. Our family strives to pray and read the scriptures together. Living the gospel is simple. Choosing the right and obeying God's commandments brings freedom and happiness. I enjoy teaching the 10 and 11 year old girls every Sunday in church. We love to read the scriptures and discuss the teachings of Jesus Christ. Teaching children is fulfilling, because I am the one who benefits the most.
