Hi I'm Terry

I have a fabulous wife and wonderful children and enjoy life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a small farm and enjoyed the opportunity to work in the field and milk cows. Though at the time I did not fully appreciate my opportunities I have since learned that I was extremely blessed with my childhood experiences. At age fourteen I felt a strong desire to learn about God and was eventually led to the Mormon Church. After serving a two year mission I returned home, married a wonderful girl, and obtained a degree in engineering. A family of two boys and three girls followed, which coupled with my wife, means everything in the world to me. I am now enjoying my first grandson and cannot get enough of him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because two nineteen year old young men with strong convictions freely gave two years of their life to come to Georgia to share their source of happiness with me. They did not want me to take their word for what they knew to be true but encouraged me to petition Heavenly Father directly and discover truth for myself. The Gospel confirmed to me that we have a loving Father in Heaven in whose image we are created. We are his greatest creation. He loves us as a caring father, knows each of use personally, and wants us to succeed. Though he allows us to make mistakes and learn from trials in this mortal experience he sees and understands that our time on earth is but part of our eternal existence. He created a plan of salvation for all his children which can be very personal as he desires us to one day return to His presence.

How I live my faith

My Heavenly Father has blessed me immensely with a wonderful family. I know that all my blessings flow from his grace and my family is on the top of the list. As I discover His will and attempt to live it I have learned that my life and the lives of my family are blessed. Over time my trust has grown and this fuels my faith. In return for the Lord’s kindness I try to live the commandments and share the source of my happiness with others. In addition to taking on various church assignments I have been involved in service projects to help those that are facing unfortunate situations. Roofing single parent homes, providing hurricane relief, assisting in tornado clean-up efforts, helping flooded victims, performing repairs on homes of the elderly and visiting shut-ins such as those in nursing homes and prisons are a few of the things that I attempt to do to show appreciation to my Heavenly Father. I know that no matter what I do I cannot match the kindness he has extended to my family.
