Hi I'm Melinda

I am a wife and stay at home mother. I have 5 children and 1 adorable old dog. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 5 wonderful children and absolutely love my role as a mother. I enjoy attending my childrens athletic and musical activities and watching them progress and grow. I also have a soft spot for a rescued old dog that we took in who has become my little shadow and companion. One of my favorite hobbies is to cheer on the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team! I also like to follow politics and can often be found surfing the various cable news channels. I like to think that I am a pretty frugal shopper and love to find good bargins and deals by shopping sales and using coupons.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of the church when I was born and they taught me the principles of the Gospel from the time I was a little girl. I always loved the feeling of peace that living the Gospel brought into our home and I knew that I wanted to have that with me always. As I grew older I had my own spiritual experiences where the Holy Ghost confirmed to me that I am truly a child of God and that he knows me and loves me. I have found that when I do my best to follow the teachings of Christ and follow what the Prophet of the Church has counseled that I have true happiness in my life. Through being a member of the Mormon church I have found a meaning and purpose for my life. I realize that we are on this earth to grow and improve and learn so that we can live eternally with our families and once again be in the presence of our Heavenly Father. The world can often be a confusing and troubled place but the teachings of the Gospel provide us with a blueprint of how to conduct our lives so that we can avoid many of the pitfalls that will come our way. As a mother I am thankful to be able to share with my children the freedom and peace that comes with obedience to the commandments that we have been given by a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to succeed and have joy.

How I live my faith

I am not always good at verbally telling people about my faith so I try my best to live my faith by making it a part of my every day life. I try to be a good neighbor and friend and serve others whenever possible. I am serving as the secretary for the childrens group at church right now. I love seeing their sweet faces each Sunday and the way they strive to "Choose the Right" as best they can. One other way I try to live my faith is by being a good example to my children and by helping them prepare themselves to go on missions so that they can share the good news of the Gospel to others around the world.
