Hi I'm Mariah

I am 16 years old club soccer player, a junior in highschool and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been playing soccer for about 13 years now, and i still love every minute of it! Being a mormon in highschool can be a challenge. Just knowing that I have my Heavenly Father there gives me a feeling of comfort and assurance that I can be what ever I want to be! my highschool have one of the biggest seminary programs in the state. Just walking around school my nonmember friends ask me what we do in there, and all i can really say is that "We learn of the gospel and party it up!" I'm very fortunate to have great friends that are not afraid to be crazy and just enjoy life the way all teenagers love too. I waasn't always a member of the LDS faith. Nothing in the world has ever made me happier then I am ever since I found the Church. I know that the happiness I feel everyday is because I finally know that I am daughter of god and that he loves me just as I am.

Why I am a Mormon

When i was eight years old my mom and I found the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latterday Saints. Finding the Church was an answer to all the many prayers we had. I knew from the moment I first stepped foot into the chappel that this was the place I needed to be. I have chosen to be a member because of the knowledge that I can repent for any mistakes that I will make in my life. I know that having the gospel in my life will only make me happier. I Love my father in Heaven and I'm greatful for all that he has blessed me with in my life. I know that any trials we have in our lives can be passed if we trust in him and live the commanments that he has given us. I know that the Lord would never give us a trial we could not overcome! The gospel is the most important part of my life and my life is a journey worth living!!

How I live my faith

I live my life like any other 16 year old teenager in the world. I have chores to do, school work that needs to be done, and practices to go too. In my ward I am part of the presidency of my age group. I am also in the youth councel which is made up of about 14 youth of different wards to plan ativities. We plan dances, group bonding activities, and conferences like a normal school student councel.
