Hi I'm Linda

I'm a Mormon. I'm also an Air Force veteran and a former veterinarian assistant.

About Me

I'm 43, divorced, no kids; but I have two wonderful schnauzers. I enjoy reading and watching television. I'm also a disabled veteran.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become Mormon because it felt right. It was like all the puzzle pieces in life finally fell into place. I actually began believing while I was stationed in Turkey and a Mormon family took me under their wing. When I got back stateside, I was ready to be baptized. I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, divinely inspired; that God and Jesus Christ are real beings and they care for us...even the little things; I believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon are true works of scripture.

How I live my faith

I enjoy my callings in the Church -- I'm the librarian and the person who does the bulletin for Sunday services. Both callings suit my quiet nature. I also enjoy going visiting teaching. Getting out and visiting other women in the church is a fun change of pace and gives me a new perspective on things.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Linda
Yes, I do. During Biblical times, God chose prophets to lead His children. To me, it just makes sense that He would still call prophets. Today that prophet is Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less
