Hi I'm Stan

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Southern Idaho. Most of my friends were morman, but I wasn't. I became a morman after marriage.

About Me

I am a retired father of three, two boys and a girl. I met my wife in 1963 and married her in 1964, quitting college to do so. After we were married, I went back to college and got two degrees, one in Chemistry and one in Education. I worked for the State of Washington of 28+ years, working with the developmentally delayed, retiring at the age of 50. I had starterd my own business (same line of work) and this was an opportunity to spend more time with the business and and to help it grow. I closed the business two years ago and am now fully retired. My wife and I spend the winters at our place in Arizona.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised around many members of the Church of Jesus of Latter Day Saints, but didn't join until after I married a sweet morman lady. I knew the concepts I had heard about the church were true and was baptized into the Church shortly after our marriage (within a month and a half). I joined because I knew what they taught was true. I have a strong testimony of the gospel, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know that Jesus is the Christ and He lives. I know that if I am obedient, I can again live with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I faithfully go to church each Sunday and other special times when services are held. I accept every calling that is extended to me and do my home teaching every month. I am assigned four families to contact. Since I am gone for at least five months of the year, I no longer receive callings (I still do my home teaching via email or letters), but I am asked to accept assignments for special events. My wife and I also served a local mission for the church.
