Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent graduate of Brigham Young University. I got my degree in English and also earned an editing minor. I just had a baby girl, and I'm a stay-at-home mom who spends a few hours a week doing freelance editing. I love to read, cook, travel, play the piano, and learn how to do new things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church, but I don't think I was truly converted to the church until sometime during college. Even people who have been going to church all of their lives have to make a decision to truly live the gospel. I choose to live the gospel because it brings peace into my life. When I have to make a difficult decision, I'm so grateful that I have the guidance of the spirit to help me. I know that if I listen to God and try to understand his will for me, I will not be led astray. This is so comforting to me when life gets difficult, and it helps me continue to strive to be a worthy member of His church.

How I live my faith

I am the second counselor in the local primary presidency. I love having the opportunity to help children learn about Christ. Being around children strengthens my testimony. They look at gospel principles in simple, but very unique, ways. This perspective helps me consider gospel doctrine in a different light. Furthermore, primary children are often so anxious to learn about the gospel. It is a constant reminder to me that I should be constantly seeking new knowledge. Maintaining a home that is a place where the spirit can dwell is very important to me. Raising my daughter in a home where she will learn correct principles is one of the key ways I can live my faith.
