Hi I'm Dave Walker

I grew up on a farm in Idaho, served a mission in Tonga, married, became a CPA, now CFO of a company and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sports enthusiast (both a particapant and a fan); everthing from shooting, skiing, golfing, volleyball, basketball, camping, hiking, horseshoes to playing board and card games... a real jack of all trades and master of none. Being an accountant, most people tell me that I do not fit the stereotype of an accountant. That is probably because I am not very conservative when it comes to living life. I love adventure and having fun. I enjoy my family and we have a lot of fun playing board games and traveling together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to find that all the ideals, principles and doctrines and way of life that I have come to value and guide my life by are all enbodied in the teachings and doctines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I have come to know that this is His Church. It is not the church of a man or a church that just appeals to my sense of fun and adventure; but, it is the true and living church. It is built on a firm spiritual foundation, is consistent throughout the world and it has all the authority necessary to help me through this mortal life and prepare me for and enable me to reach the eternities.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing the things that are helpful to others. I love to serve, help, teach, strengthen and encourage others to live their faith as well. In doing so, I find great joy and happiness and what adds to that is being able to see others' lives become happier and more full as they embrace the gospel as well. I have had and still have opportunities to lead others in various ways and to help them receive the covenants and blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As I see their lives blessed by these great blessings, I find I want to do even more to help others find their way to happiness by accepting, gaining a testimony of and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have the great opportunity to work with a wide range of people, the youth, the young adults and the young at heart both married and single. All have a place in my heart.
