Hi I'm Geraldine

I'm a Mormon. Lived most of my life in Arizona, Married my husband in the Mesa, Ariz Temple. We had 7 ch, 24 g ch, 5gg.

About Me

I was born of goodly parents and grew up with 5 goodly siblings. I was taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ through activity with my parents in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I graduated from ASU, taught school, married a good man, then stayed at home and raised 7 children. I also love music, family history and participating in community and Church activities. I also enjoy singing in the church choir. I've formed many friendships through out my life in and out of the Church. I enjoy doing things with my children and their families. One of the many things we like to do is have Birthday Bashes where we get together 3 or 4 times a year and celebrate the most recent birthdays in the family. We also like to participate in Family Reunions when they are held, usually every 2 or 3 years. I learned to sew when I was a teen and have sewed many outfits for my own children through the years. I like to research my ancestors. In doing so I have found a rich source of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember some of the words to a song that I learned at an early age in Sunday School Class. They are: "Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam to shine for him each day. In every way try to please him at home, at school at play". I knew when I was age 8, it would please Jesus Christ who is our Savior and Redeemer to follow His example and be baptized by immersion for the remission of sins and receive the Holy Ghost by those who are in authority to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. I have continued throughout my life to pray and study the scriptures (King James Version of the Bible and the Book of Mormon) When I began High School I was challenged by my seminary teacher to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it's truthfulness (Moroni:10, v 3-5) I did this and as I prayed, I simply knew it was true. My testimony of this Church has continued to grow with me throughout my life through practicing Gospel principles. I have found peace and joy in the knowledge that Jesus Christ is our Savior, that we can repent when we make mistakes and be forgiven through the sacrifice which Jesus made for our sins. Each day I can progress by trying to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I say personal and participate in family prayers each day. I also read scriptures personally and with the family. I have read the Old Testament and New Testament. Also the Book of Mormon which is another Testament of Jesus Christ. I attend Church meetings regularly and renew my baptism covenants by partaking of the Sacrament. I enjoy participating in singing the hymns. I enjoy the fellow ship of other Church members through participation in service to others in and out of the Church. I have donated to funds that are given for the specific purpose of helping any one regardless of religious preference. I spend a lot of time with my children and their families. I spend time with my own siblings too. Family ties are very important to me. I have been in many situations where I have come to know many people not of my faith who's friendship I have enjoyed. I know that there are a lot of good people who are not of my faith, and I like to share the Gospel with those who are looking for more answers to the questions: Where did I come from? Why am I here?. Where am I going?
