Hi I'm Dan

I grew up in Idaho and went to school at Brigham Young University. I work for a large credit union in Georgia. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a husband and father. We have a young family and they keep us very busy, but we love our kids and they are a joy to hang out with. We had the opportunity to live in Hawaii several years ago, we created within us a love of traveling, beaches, good food and warm weather. So we seek those things out whenever possible. Our children love music and we love to hear them perform. I enjoy sports, especially tennis, basketball and college football.

Why I am a Mormon

The church brings a great deal of happiness to my life. It has brought me closer to Jesus Christ, and helps me to want to be a better person. I love to come to church and participate in the service opportunities the church provides, because I always feel happier when I am in the Lord's house and participating in his work. The Mormon church strengthens families, while so many of the world's forces pull them apart. It teaches us principles that bring love and peace into the home, and creates opportunities for our children to learn the gospel and have fun at the same time! In summary, the church brings true joy into the lives of its members.

How I live my faith

As a young adult I had the opportunity to serve a mission for my church in Lisbon, Portugal. Since then I have always enjoyed opportunities to contribute to the communities in which I live. This has included working with the youth in our church, Boy Scouts, helping with service projects (including disaster relief), and working with the leadership of our church. The Mormon church does not have a paid clergy, so we learn to give of our time and talents freely in others behalf.
