Hi I'm Yvonne

I'm a mother. I'm a grandmother. I have a full time job. I'm a busy woman with a life full of trials and rewards. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy doing genealogy and finding cousins all around the world. No matter how far out on the branches of my family tree I still feel the connection of that uniting root. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandsons. It is through my family that I understand how much my Heavenly Father loves me, and how he can show so much patience for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is through the teachings of Christ that I learn that I don’t have to be perfect for him to love me. Knowing that Heavenly Father and Christ love me even when I get angry, am impatient, make the wrong decision, or experience any number of less than perfect behaviors, helps me to strive to become better each day. I know that I am not perfect today and won’t be tomorrow, but I am trying to become worthy to return to live with them both when my time here is done.

How I live my faith

I am the librarian at our church building. I enjoy providing the teachers with pictures and other supplies to enhance their lessons. Having taught all age groups in the church I understand how a picture or video can help someone understand the message of the lesson. I also enjoy making posters to advertise the activities of our women’s group (Relief Society).

What is being a Mormon like?

To me being a Mormon has given me a greater understanding of who I am and why I go through the things I do. Like everyone else in the world I have had to face trials and temptations and sometimes I do not handle them very well, but in the end I always come through them with a greater understanding of myself and my God. My life is like many others in the world, I have a husband, children, grand-children and I work - all of which gives me a wonderful sense of purpose - and this is only enhanced by the gospel and the feeling of eternal satisfaction.
