Hi I'm JD

I grew up in a military family and live in Europe for 10 years and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with no children but I want to be a dad some day. I love sports and enjoy being outside and active. I not only enjoy playing sports but I also enjoy coaching as well. I am currently going to college for a degree in business and will be done soon. I am not afraid to try anything even if I know I am not good at it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but through my final years of high school I went through some life changes. Some were better than others and because of some personal experiences I grew closer to to the church and my father in heaven. Unfortunately, I have always taken the hard road in my life but because of the gospel I have been able to make changes and truly understand the atonement when Jesus Christ suffered for all sins including mine. I am grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to know that my savior lives and loves me. I am grateful to have the priesthood and those leaders who hold the priesthood that are called of god to lead me and my family in these latter days. I am thankful to know that my family and I can live together forever if we are righteous and follow by faith. The gospel has brought me closer to my family and has given me so many opportunities to continually grow.

How I live my faith

I work with the Cub Scout age boys and help them to advance through Cub Scouts but also grow in the gospel. I get an opportunity to be an example to these young boys and help them to understand how Scouts work along with the church and, how each of them should live life. I am also a hometeacher and have the opportunity to visit some wonderful families every month and share a short message with them. I am given many opportunities to serve them and help when needed.
