Hi I'm Lorna

I grew up in California. I love to sew blankets for my grandchildren. I have a sun conure named "Zahzu". I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of five and a grandmother of 6 and I love it! I love to sew, cross-stitch, read, crochet, organize, exercise and eat. I have lived in five different states and been happy in every one.

Why I am a Mormon

My Testimony I have a testimony of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and many other spiritual things that are sacred and dear to me. This testimony lies within my soul, I cannot see it, but like the wind that is not seen, I can feel its presence. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves me. I know that He knows and loves every person on this earth and knows us all by name. The spirit tells me this is true. He sent all of us to earth, by faith, to live His plan. The spirit tells me that I can live His plan and helps me along the way to keep at it. Every one with a sincere desire to know these things will be given the blessing of truth if they put forth the effort. I can sum up all that I hold dear and the purpose of my life here on earth in two sentences: • To serve others including my family first; enabling them to find joy on this earth and • To work out my salvation in order to return to live in heaven with my Heavenly Father and mother, my Savior and my family for eternity. I pray daily for the courage to express my love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others but fail miserably. I realize that it shows a lack of faith that I fear man more than God in this area but I am progressing step by step like everyone else and through the grace of God I will one day gain enough courage to be able to open my mouth and bear testimony to others outside my denomination of the things that I believe to be true – the things of God, Christ, heaven and their true church on this earth; the same things that bring hope, peace and fulfillment to my life. I feel the truth of these things deep into my soul and cannot deny them

How I live my faith

Throughout my life I have served the Lord through serving in His church. I have taught children, youth and adults in classes about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have visited with ladies everywhere I have lived and enjoye getting to know them, their stories and learning to love them. I consider it a great privelege to do all I can to spread the love of the Lord and my joy in serving.
