Hi I'm Cindy

I'm a Mormon. I'm a mother and a grandmother and creating beautiful things makes me happy!

About Me

I am a mother and a grandmother, a quilter and avid reader. I grew up in a small Idaho town, and spent much of my married life in an even smaller town on the beautiful but rainy Oregon coast. Now I live in a very large city and probably one of the hottest and driest in the country! Our family has undergone many difficult challenges over the last few years but I am striving to follow the counsel of one of the General Authorities who said "Keep on going when you think you can't go anymore!"

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church all my life and regrettably have sometimes taken such a blessing for granted. Now I must work every day to hang on to a strong faith while facing difficult family circumstances. I am grateful for the words of our latter day prophets and apostles who give me strength and encouragement. I lean on the courage of the wonderful sisters in my ward and look to their example. When I am discouraged, I read my scriptures, pray, and hang on! The gospel is for everyone, especially those of us who are struggling with seemingly insurmountable obstacles.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith with acts of service. I have found when I pray for an opportunity, however small, to serve someone every day, those opportunities happen-_sometimes more than I would like! Sometimes it is as simple as letting someone go ahead of me at the grocery checkout counter. I simply need to be open to the opportunity that God provides. I also have the special responsibility of visiting with and helping several women in my ward and look forward to the blessings of that service every month.
