Hi I'm Joanne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been a widow for 25 years. I have seven children, six girls and a boy, fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. I live with my dog Beeper. I retired from being an RN 10 years ago. I like to do things on the computer and take a lot of pictures. My family has always been the main focus of my life and I enjoy spending time with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was trying to find a church for a long time since my husband died. I never seemed to be able to find one that I felt comfortable going to by myself, including the one that I went to with my husband. One day two young men came to my door. I talked to them for a while on my front porch. They asked if they could come back, and I said sure. The next day they were back. They invited me to go to church, and I went. I felt very welcomed and like I belonged there. Two months later I was baptized and joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will forever be indebted to the missionaries.

How I live my faith

I have a lot of respect for the missionaries who devote two years of their lives to helping others find the restored gospel so I try to do whatever I can for them. I also go to church and currently serve as the Ward Relief Society Secretary. I'm a people person. I know we are all God's children so in casual conversation with friends and family I look for oppurtunities to share the gospel. My goal is to not be the only Mormon in my family.
