Hi I'm Bacho Vega

I am a husband, father, ironman, endurance athlete and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to the mainland at the age of 16. I became a member of the Church close to my 12th birthday. I graduated from the University of Utah College of law in 2000. I enjoy spending time with my wife and kids. In my free time I love challenging my physical and mental abilities by participating in endurance events. I have so far completed a couple of ironman events, multiple ultramarathones including a 101 mile running event and have recently starting participating in crossfit events.

Why I am a Mormon

The church has helped me learn about my savior Jesus Christ. I love that my church teaches me to follow His example, how to be a better person and the love that Heavenly Father has for each of his children. I have learned that thanks to Christ's atonement I can return to our Father in Heaven. Families are extremely important to me. I have gained the knowledge that by living a Christ centered life I can have an eternal family. The joy experience with my family does not have to end with death. I also love the support I have from my friends and family in the church and how, together, we try to improve our temporal and spiritual lives.

How I live my faith

I have the joy and opportunity to work every Sunday with the young kids in my church. I love being able to teach, sing and play with them. The little ones are a great source of joy and a true example of unconditional love and faith. Their example has inspired me to want to be more kind and friendly with others.
