Hi I'm Matthew

I like to write. I like to read. I practice Brazilian Jiujitsu. I like womens rights. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work at a family business that supplies wood to guitar manufacturers. I have a wonderful wife and we are recently grandparents. We own 5 horses and train them ourselves. My favorite hobby is Brazilian Jiujitsu. I've been practicing off and on for three years as I am able.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe the Gospel. I've done a lot of study and with everything I've learned, the LDS Church has the most complete answers of everything. That's the intellectual reason. The other reason is because every time I was told by the Lord, whether in study or by someone in the Church, that I would receive a certain blessing for faithful obedience, that blessing was given when I had done my part. I wasn't told "all you have to do is believe". I was shown by example that first you must believe, then you must act, then the Lord will do His part. "Prove me now herewith and see if I will not open the windows of heaven..." I proved Him, and He has proved Himself to me. I will not waver. I have proved all things and I will hold fast to that which is good.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to expand my mind and my heart. I strive to believe in the potential Christ says I have. I strive to show charity and humility in all things and embrace life and truth with all my heart.
