Hi I'm Ronda

I love hard work. I teach Pilates. I am a School Board Director. I live for my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like many young women, I knew exactly what I wanted out of life. I loved hard work, intellectual challenges and to do things that others said I couldn't. I was driven and thought I knew exactly what my future would hold, a corporate expense account , a personal secretary and worldly success born of hard work and tenacity. I was on my way to that dream when as a young newly wed I became pregnant. This was not part of my plan, as a matter of fact, children where not a part of my plan at all. I remember being so overwhelmed and distraught at the thought of becoming a mother. I knew that I would never truly be able to love a child, I was too focused on my worldly goals. I am happy to report that the moment I held my son in my arms, my heart was filled with the most tender feelings I had ever known. I had let the world define what success meant to me, yet in an instant I knew that as a mother I had far more value to my children than I would ever have in the corporate world. How grateful I am, that a loving Heavenly Father has given me an opportunity to know the true joy and happiness that comes from the little successes I celebrate with my husband and children everyday. I truly believe "No success can compensate for failure in the home."

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? It is this simple. I am Mormon because I have asked the Lord where he wants me to serve in his vineyard and I know with certainty that he wants me here. Through study, prayer and many faith building experiences I have grown to trust and rely on my Savior. I have received a witness from the Holy Spirit that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer and that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me. I know that He is mindful of me and sustains me when I am weak. I believe in the purifying power of the Atonement and have felt the peace that it speaks to my heart. By these things I know who I am and why I am here.

How I live my faith

The greatest joy in my life has come from my family. I love watching them grow and become honest, hard working righteous individuals. I love working and serving along side them. Whether I am teaching a cub scout how to tie a knot, a teenage girl how to right at swamped canoe at camp, or working on the latest budget crisis in our school district, I am happy if I am helping. I have been blessed to live in a small community full of kindhearted, generous, giving individuals of all faiths and walks of life. When I see others through Christ's eyes, I have a greater understanding and love for them. As our family strives to live the standards and values of Christ we are blessed with the fruits of the Spirit in our lives. We have a greater capacity to love. We have found true joy in the simple things of life. We have peace in our hearts. We are more patient with one another and show gentle kindness toward others. We have a greater since of individual worth that gives us the ability to stand against the winds of the world and remain firmly planted in holy places. Through small and simple things great blessing are given. I have been truly blessed!
