Hi I'm Christy

I am a twin. I have twin daughters and twin grandsons. :o) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of 10 children and the wife to a wonderful husband who is a fireman. We have been married now for 31 years and have 8 grandchildren with 3 more on the way. :o) I love to read, take trips, and just spend time with family!

Why I am a Mormon

I love this question. I have been a "Mormon" my whole life but honestly...I knew nothing about the church until we moved to Arizona from California. (When I was 14 years old) -My dad was not a member of the church and so we did not go to church growing up...but we did do lots of family things together. Campiing, Fishing and just being together as a family. We would spend our Saturdays in the backyard working and then we would have this big family barbecue afterwards. Family was so important. Sadly, when I was 13 my dad past away from a massive heartattach and I thought my world had come to an end. I did not have any strong beliefs at this time. I thought my dad was gone forever and I would never get to see him again. We moved here to Arizona and that is when my life changed. I started going to church and learning about the gospel. What joy it was to know that my dad lived on....he was not gone forever, infact, we are now all sealed as a family and I know I will someday see him again. Since my "conversion" my sweet twin sister past away (at 37). It was such a shock. I felt a "pain" I never knew could happen when losing a loved one. I am so truly grateful to know that we are an eternal family. The gospel is everything to me. I know we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows and loves each one of us, individually, and hears and answers our prayers. I know the Savior loves us and that He died for us. It is such a blessing to know this. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints has blessed my life tremendously. It brings great JOY, PEACE and HAPPINESS!!!

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve and help others in my church callings... I have worked with nursery age, young children, youth and women in my different callings and each one has blessed my life greatly. Raising my family and being involved in their activities keeps me busy and I love to witness the joy the gospel brings in their lives as they live the commandments and desire to be good examples to others. Having family home evening once a week and family prayer together each night is important and helps us stay close. Sometimes a big family can be challenging but when you see them happy and loving one another it is so worth all the challenges that come. I love my life. :O)
