Hi I'm Kent

I am a retired CPA and financial administrator, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate, happily married, father of 9 children, and grandfather to dozens of grandchildren. I retired a few years ago, and spend much of my time in church and community service. I enjoy golf, baseball, and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because my mother encouraged me to go to the Mormon church as a young boy, although she did not attend. My church friends and adult leaders encouraged me to live gospel teachings. As I matured, I saw the wisdom in living as they taught. I was happy. My understanding of the gospel and testimony grew as I applied gospel principles in my life. As a young man, I wanted to share the gospel with others, and served as a missionary in Finland. This desire to serve and share has stayed with my my entire adult life. I know the doctrine of the Mormon church is true, and when applied in our lives will lead to true happiness in the eternities.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to love my neighbors and family, serving in the community, and helping others. Over the years, I have served in leadership positions in the church and community. I particularly enjoyed serving as an elected school board member, youth baseball and soccer coach, and hospice volunteer. In my retired years, my wife and I served together as full-time missionaries in Portugal.
