Hi I'm De Anne

I'm a wife, daughter, mother to 6 kids, friend, sister, chocolate eater, ice blocker, daily nap taker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I am in the wonderful and crazy stage of life of being a stay at home mom to 6 kids. Yes, I drive a lot of carpools. There are days it is hard and monotonous and you think you can't wash another pair of socks. On the flip side of things the joy that I feel being at home and serving my family is really indescribable. There is no other life I would want to live. I am thankful to my husband who makes this possible for our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS home. I think this gave me the basis and foundation of learning about and loving the Savior. When I was 14 a teacher challenged me to read the Book of Mormon and pray to know if it was true. I did this. My answer wasn't immediate. Then, one evening when I was studying my scriptures I knew that the gospel of Jesus Christ was true. It has been a guiding force in my life to have my own, personal testimony to help me through the difficult things we all experience.

How I live my faith

I serve in our church with the young children ages 1 to 12. There is such a brightness in our children. We also have a wonderful program in our church called visiting teaching. It gives you the responsibility to watch over and serve other women. You are able to assess their needs; whether spiritual or temporal. I love knowing we are representing our Savior by caring for each other. There are so many programs in the church that provide serving opprtunites and also help through some of the difficult times in life. It is like having an extended family wherever you are. I am trying to live my life in a way that would be pleasing to my Savior, Jesus Christ.
