Hi I'm Tristan

I'm Filipino born in Germany who speaks Spanish. I'm a mama's boy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm twenty years old. I was born in Frankfurt Germany on an army base. I'm half Filipino and half White. I am fluent in Spanish and I was raised in Utah. I don't think I'm the average young adult. I come from a single parent family. My mom raised me by herself. I have one half brother. I love everything outdoors. Currently I am serving as a missionary in Spokane Washington Mission. I love where the Savior has has brought me, I love what I'm doing with my life, I love where my life is headed!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church until I was eight. Shortly after my mom stopped going to church because of all of the rough things that where happening in her life. I didn't get a chance to learn enough to keep my on the right path so when life hit me hard I drew farther and farther away from God. I hated my life for the longest time because it seemed like one bad thing after another. Shortly after she got sent to Afghanistan to serve in the war. That really hard on me as a young boy not having my parents around me. Then as a senior in high school my mom got deployed to Iraq to serve for a second time and I was living by myself in our house with no contact with my dad. At that point in my life I really doubted that there was a God because I couldn't believe a loving father would put his son in that situation. To cope with the hard things life had done to me I started hanging out with the wrong people and lived in sin. I came to a point in the middle of my senior year that I wasn't happy and I realized that I didn't know how to be. One night a youth leader came to my house and I let him in and told him what was going on with my life. He told me he didn't know what I was going through and he just told me to pray and ask God if he loved me and if he would help me be happy. That night I got on my knees for the first time and asked if he was there and if he loved me. I got the answer that I hoped for. From that experience I tried to follow him the best I could, always relying on prayer to confirm the things I was learning from the church. As I changed, many of my friends also decided to take the same course and are serving full time missions right now. I know this is the church of Jesus Christ and I know that whoever is willing to follow him will receive same answer I did. I decided to pursue in this path because I owe my Heavenly Father everything for lifting me out of the ditch I was in to find happiness. If we just follow the Savior we will be happy!

How I live my faith

I love my Savior. For that sole reason I decided to represent him for two years. Every single day I seek to help people make the changes in their life to follow Christ's example. I talk to everyone I see, testifying that Jesus is the Christ and sharing how he has changed my life personally.
