Hi I'm Justin

I am a father and husband. I converted to the Church and was baptized on my 18th birthday. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, like any loving husband and father, I enjoy spending my time with my family. We try to do as much as we can together. Having three daughters gives me plenty of opportunities to play dress-up and makeovers! Fortunately I have some defense against dress-up with our forth child, a little man! I am currently completing my Business degree. I enjoy physical activity such as basketball, hiking, and camping. When I am able to I like to ride motorcycles and feel the freedom of the open roads. I have found a recent passion in photography. I enjoy capturing sweet moments of my family and friends. As well as taking pictures of the Arizona surroundings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert and was baptized on my 18th birthday. Circumstances, which may not be very different from others, early in my life led me to be raised by my grandparents at the age of 3. My parents were both young and unprepared for a child when I was born, though they tried, they could not make their marriage last. My mother needed help and went to her father and step-mother (my grandparents). I ended up being raised by my loving grandparents. When I was seven years old and in 2nd Grade I had a realization that I did not have a mother and father to go home to much like the other children at school. For me, my mother and father were my grandparents who did a wonderful job raising me as if I was their child. It was at this moment that I found myself feeling the desire and need to discover if God and his son Jesus truly existed. For many years I would pray to Heavenly Father pouring out my soul and asking him if he was real and if so to please let me know. I prayed to him and told him that I would one day have a family and I would never do anything to my wife or children that would hurt them the way that I was hurt. There were plenty of nights through my youth that I went to bed with a pillow full of tears. During this time I attended other churches with family and friends. I had great friends at these churches and have some great memories of the church activities we did. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I attending an LDS Church with my good friend. On my first Sunday in Sunday School the missionaries came into class. They asked everyone to commit and read 3 Nephi chapter 11. A few weeks went by and I found myself one Saturday afternoon at home. I decided to read this chapter. When I turned the page and read verse 3 I began to experience what I was reading! Through the Holy Ghost, Heavenly Father spoke to me. I finally had an answer to my prayer that I had been praying so long for 10 years! I knew then the Church is true.

How I live my faith

I have served the Lord by ways of various Church callings in my Wards. I have been a Sunday School Counselor, Sunday School President, Home Teaching Zone Leader, Ward Clerk, Primary Teacher, a Deacons Quorum Advisor. I enjoy doing my Home Teaching and visiting with the families in our Ward. I try my best to live my life to the teachings of our Savior and look for opportunties to serve others. I have had adversity and hard trials in my life which have lead to good and poor choices. The road of repentance is difficult but I know a loving Father in Heaven cares and knows me personally and through his son Jesus Christ our sins are forgiven. I have witnessed many and benefited from miracles, I have seen the healing power of the Priesthood, I have received prayers answered, I feel and hear the promptings of the Lord in my daily life, I know the Gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be true because through the Holy Ghost the Lord told me so, I know my Savior lives and through him we may be resurrected and return to our Heavenly Father, I know the Book of Mormon to be true, I know the Lord cares for his children and through the mouth of a Prophet gives us our daily bread, I know that prayers are answered when He knows when they need to be answered and not when we want them to be answered, I know we can all grow closer to God through personal prayer, I know these things just as I know I breath and I testify this in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ.
