Hi I'm Marcia

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mother of four children who keep my life full and busy. I work at a community college and love seeing students succeed in achieving their dreams. I enjoy playing sports, hiking, and spending time on the computer. And above all, I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I have felt God's touch so many times in my life that denying Him would be impossible. He is the Rock that keeps me steady--I know I can always rely on Him even when the road before me is filled with obstacles and seems impassable. He doesn't always make my life easy, but He's always there for me, through the good and the bad. Relying on Him has helped me through the most difficult trials of my life. My faith in Him is what makes me who I am and I am so grateful for the love and support He continually gives me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

My faith is a choice every day and it's the small things that change how I live. Saying my prayers morning and night and reading my scriptures each day give me a strength and power to get through each day that you can't get anywhere else. I also gain strength from going to church every Sunday where I often teach the children lessons. I spend time with my family each Monday night. I try to visit the temple whenever I can. I try to be honest in all that I do. I try to see the good and people and focus on the positive side of life. In addition, I choose not to drink alcohol or smoke. I choose not to do drugs. I choose to maintain high morals--meaning I choose to share physical intimacy only with the man I am married to. I choose not to use foul language or swear words. I choose to keep my mind and body clean. That might sound difficult but it's actually an easier lifestyle. These choices help me to stay healthy and keep my mind clear. It helps me to live free of the problems and regrets that can come from a different lifestyle. It helps me feel closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ on a daily basis and makes me a stronger person. I try to live each day in a way that would be pleasing to my Heavenly Father. Am I always successful? No. But that doesn't stop me from trying again tomorrow.
