Hi I'm Lisa

I'm from Ukraine. I'm the first and only Mormon in my family.

About Me

Most of all I love spending time with my family and friends. I think those people are the true treasure. I work with children. I love reding books, traviling to new places - anything connected with learning something new about world and it's people.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for more that 3 years now. Before I met the Church I never had doubts about the existence of Higher Power. What I didn't know was that this Power is our loving Father in Heaven and I am His daughter. I knew that in my heart when I prayed and read the Scriiptures, ecpesially the Book of Mormon. I know this book is true because I had my chance to ask Him about it. And His answer was the only one I would believe. And I did. Once gained, this knowledge is with me wherever I go and no matter hat happens. It gives me strength and hope. And as I continue to learn, I find out more about myself, my Heavenly Father and His plan for me and my loved ones. I know that I don't know everything, but what I know is that my decision to get baptized was the best decision I ever made.

How I live my faith

Sometimes it feels hard to live my standards because I'm the only member of the Church in my family and at work and one of not many in our town (so as in our country), but I find peace and comfort in doing what's right and serving people. In our community I serve as a teacher and youth leader, also preparing to serve as a full-time missionary for my country. My life changed a lot in last 3 years and continues to change every day I live the Gospel. I know that God loves me and that He had prepared great blessings for me and for all His children. He wants everyone to come to Him and to get to know Him.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

"Secret" is not the word I would use. I would rather say "sacred". Temple is a place for God's children to get to know Him and His plan better and to prepare for the eternal life with Him. This is the only place on Earth where we can be connected to our spouse not only for this life, but for the whole eternity. That is why only those members, who were baptized and proved their loyalty to God by devoted Christ-like life, can enter the Holy Templek Show more Show less
