Hi I'm Ken

My friends call me Rigabamboo or Bambie. I Rageball. I'm an aspiring gold-miner and an avid learner of lore, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ken Young. I live in the shadows of the Wasatch Mountains. I'm a man who enjoys a good tie when he sees one. My biggest passion is music. All kinds, Celtic, Rock, Folk, Opera, Classical, Country, Bluegrass, the epitome of which is either Trans-Siberian Orchestra or Taylor Swift. I play the piano, guitar, ukulele, mandolin, bagpipes, and Irish penny-whistle. I love my classic books. Dracula being my favorite, Frankenstein comes in a close second, followed by Tarzan. I'm intense like a fire, and smooth like Sean Connery. I'm a firm believer in the saying "All You Need is Love". I created a game for all people called Rageball, a combination of Soccer, Rugby, Football, Hockey and Ballet. I'm a fisher of men, and a Disciple of Jesus Christ. How great is my calling!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon for a few reasons. #1. I was born a Mormon and raised that way. #2. Being raised Mormon, I was exposed to the standards and teachings of Mormonism my whole life, and came to love it. #3. I'm still Mormon because, quite honestly, God tells me thats what I should do. God talks to all of us, not just me, in different ways. The way I notice it most often is in the feelings that come to my heart and mind. They're different than other feelings though. These feelings are clear and don't confuse me. They also don't fade with time. They're powerful and soft all at the same time. When I pray and ask for these feelings concerning Mormonism, I get feelings of love and peace, safety is a good way to put it. I feel secure in the fact that God has shown me the way to go. So I'm Mormon because thats what God wants me to do, and it makes me happy to do it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Spokane Washington mission. I live my faith by sharing it with all my heart and strength with everyone I can. I live my faith by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By declaring him as the Savior of the world, and inviting others to follow him with all their heart. I live my faith by doing good to my fellow man, helping whenever I can, and doing it with a heart and mindset full of love. I live my faith by following the teachings of my Lord, Jesus Christ. By doing what he says, I change for the better and want to help those around me, and bring some measure of happiness to my brothers and sisters. I live my faith by loving. Loving myself, my neighbor, and my God.
