Hi I'm Sheila

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Sheila. I am a wife and mother of four wonderful children. My children are all adults. I have six grandchildren. I helped my husband with his business for 25 years doing the bookkeeping. It was nice that I could help out and still be home with my children as they grew. I enjoyed going hunting with my husband when it was feasible. I love to spend time with him. We enjoy one anothers company. I have played volleyball for many years and love it. I enjoy sewing and quilting. I like to do easy crafts. I started back to college a few years ago but with the down economy I haven't attended the last little while. I am however helping my children navigate the college world so that they can earn their degrees. Our oldest was the first to earn a bachelors degree. The other three are still working on obtaining degrees. Hopefully when I get them finished I can go back and get mine. That is my goal.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born in the faith. I stay a Mormon because I love my savior Jesus Christ. I have learned so much about him since I was a child and I truly know that he died for me and suffered for me. This is his church on the earth today and I know it for my self. I have read the Book of Mormon many times and each time I do my testimony becomes stronger. I learn more each time I read. The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ. It is this knowledge that gives me hope when I face trying times.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving and doing. I have three sons and they are all eagle scouts. I have served many years in the boy scouts of america which the church embraces as a tool for raising great young men. I love working with these boys. I also love teaching the children when they are younger. I have been in charge of the organization for the children of the church. Children are so sweet and it is wonderful to see them learn about their savior and to know who he is. I served many years on the PTO board for our elementary school when my children were little. I coached volleyball at middle school and high school for a few years too. I organized the hospitality room for basketball tournaments at our high school for many years. I would organize volunteers to bring in food that the coaches and referees could enjoy through out the day as tournaments where usually an all day event. I love living in and being a part of my community.
