Hi I'm Wendy

I am a stay-at-home adoptive mother raising 3 kids. Since I joined this church at 19, I have seen many miracles. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Life is not always what you plan it to be. But sometimes that is the miracle of life. If you had told me in my high school days, that in my NEAR future I would receive a kidney transplant, join the Mormon church, get married young and 7 months later give birth to a 2 pound baby, adopt two more children, that I would stay at home and play playdough all day, and practically live out of my car running to and from soccer practice...yes, I would think you were insane! But I love my unplanned, crazy life! Everytime I have tried to pursue a career in my fields of interest, one of them being photography, I am quickly reminded of my most important job ever, being a mom, a blessing that I thought might never be possible. I have now been able to use my love of photography to serve others and to also have a creative outlet. Through the trials and unplanned experiences I have been through, I have witnessed great miracles in my life. So I can say without a doubt that I know that God lives, that He answers our prayers, and that He loves us!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a wonderful Christian(Lutheran) home. I would not change it for anything, for I was truly born of "goodly parents". Although I had a best friend who was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, it was The Book of Mormon that ultimately changed my path of religion. If you pray with real intent, you can know that the Book of Mormon is true and is the word of God through the power of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost can testify and speak to your heart and mind, and give you a peace and testimony that cannot be denied. I feel this same feeling everytime I read the Book of Mormon, everytime I attend the temple, everytime I go to church, talk with the missionaries, serve others, or pray with my family(to name only a few). I am so grateful that at age 19, going through the trials that I was enduring, that I was just humble enough to hear the voice of the spirit telling me, that what these young missionaries were teaching me was true.

How I live my faith

The gift of the Holy Ghost is one of the greatest gifts that I have ever received, which I received at baptism. By following in faith the quiet voice of the Holy Ghost, I have been able to make all the important decisions in my life(and small ones), knowing that God will always guide me in my path. Having faith to take the right path and to follow the Holy Ghost is not always easy to do, but it brings you the most JOY. Without the faith to follow the guidance of the Holy Ghost, I would not be the mother of three amazing little children, who came to us after much prayer and heartache. I would have just given up, but the spirit gave me hope to keep moving forward. Also, the faith to follow the Lord's standards of health, in not partaking of harmful substances into my body, and for paying tithing, has blessed our family in our health, and in so many ways they cannot be numbered. I have faith in my Savior Jesus Christ. He has healed my body and spirit time and time again, and I am grateful for that solid foundation that He is in my life.
