Hi I'm Allison

I enjoy music and cooking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Culinary School and enjoy baking and cooking special treats to eat. I'm married to a wonderful husband and we're expecting our first child. I play the violin, but I WISH I would play more often. I'm learning to knit and sew and hope to learn to crochet. I love my family and all that they are/ do for me.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel is so important to me. It keeps me strong when otherwise I wouldn't be able to stand. Christ is the center of my life. He is my Brother and Friend. I know I came to this earth to experience hardships, but with the Gospel, I'm able to learn from those experiences and keep moving forward. The Book of Mormon isn't just another book. It helps me see the struggles and triumphs of prophets and teaches me about the Savior and his wonderful example. I know the prophet, Joseph Smith, was called to help restore this glorious church to the earth again. I also know that today's prophet, Thomas Monson, was called of God, and that he truly is a Prophet of God. I love my Heavenly Father, and He loves me.

How I live my faith

I teach a group of 9 year old girls twice a month. We learn about things like prayer, scripture reading, tithing, and other important basic truths of the gospel. We also learn about the importance of things in the home, like sewing, babysitting, or cooking. It truly is a blessing to get to know these sweet girls with my partner. They teach us while we teach them. I also go visiting teaching once a month with my partner. We go to certain people's houses to visit the women in the home to hear about how things are going, if they need help with anything, or just to make them smile. It's so much fun to get to know others in the ward through this program.
