Hi I'm Tamra

I'm a happy wife and a mother to 4 boys who keep me on my toes. I love being with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is surrounded by my family and in-laws. Most of them live in a very close proximity. As a stay at home mom to 4 boys I'm very busy with our immediate family, but I'm grateful for the support I feel being surrounded by other people that love and support me and would do anything for me. We get to see and be around each other often. I'm also blessed to be surrounded by a ward family that loves me just the same. Most of my time is spent with my husband and my 4 boys, teaching them and watching life happen through their eyes. We spend a lot of time outside together...riding bikes, working, playing with friends and playing sports. I love being a part of their activities. Watching their ball games and attending their music recitals. I also spend time volunteering at my oldest sons school. I serve in the Primary in our ward and LOVE being surrounded by children each week at church. I can't think of any other way I'd want to spend my time than teaching, loving, and learning from Heavenly Father's children. They are the closest thing to heaven and I'm grateful that I have THIS time of my life to enjoy and be encircled around them.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up in the church my whole life, but that's not why I'm a Mormon. I've gained a testimony of it's teachings. My testimony started as a youth, but it has grown throughout my life. Many times in my life I've been humbled and reminded of why I am a member. I know of it's truthfulness and I can't imagine what my life would be like without it. Throughout my life I feel like I've been guided by a loving Heavenly Father in the desicions I make and the things that I do. I know through prayer, he hears me and is mindful of my struggles. He loves me and wants to help me every step of this journey called life. It's a very comforting feeling. And as I'm faithful to him and his commandments I'm SO very blessed. I'm HAPPY! I truly am. I can't imagine living in a world not knowing why I'm here, where I came from, and where I'm going after I die. Having answers to those questions gives so much peace and validation in everything I do. The great thing about knowing that, is also knowing that it's not just for me to know. Heavenly Father wants ALL his children (every person that has ever lived and will ever live on the earth) to know what I know and have the blessings of the gospel that I have. That's VERY comforting to know I have a Father in Heaven that loves everyone that much! And that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love having the opportunity to serve in our Primary at church. I get to be around the children. We have lots of teachers that teach specific ages/classes of children, but because I'm in a presidency I get to teach all of them every Sunday. Ages 3-11. It's such a great feeling to see their faith in a loving Heavenly Father and their desire to do good. They have such simple understanding and it's so nice to teach the gospel in simple terms and be reminded of those gospel principles in that way. I also get to be a part of visiting teaching with the other women in the ward. It's nice to visit with others that I can relate to. Women that are trying their best to do what's right and raise their families just like I am. We get to go into each other's homes and visit and uplift one another and provide support and love during hard times. Heavenly Father didn't intend for us to live this life with out help from others. He knows we need each other. I'm so grateful for the church and that I can help and serve others and they, in turn, can do the same for me.
