Hi I'm Jamie

I live in Arizona and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother to a teenage daughter. I help my husband do the office work for his landscape company. I love to cook, bake, garden, exercise & go to the movies. I also love to go to my daughters sporting events and support her. I love children and their innocence. Although I only have one daughter, I feel that I have many children through my church calling as well as all the children that I have babysat over the years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in an LDS (Mormon) family. When I was a teenager I questioned if the church was true or not and when I was in in my early 20's I realized that little by little doing the things that we've been asked to do like following the commandments was a blessing and for our good, not to restrict us. I'm so grateful for the testimony that I have that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ and that the gospel was restored. I'm so grateful for Thomas S. Monson who is a living prophet here upon the earth today to lead and guide us at this particlular time. I'm also grateful for temples where we can find peace and escape from the hustle and bustle of the world. I'm grateful to know that even though I make mistakes and am not perfect that I can repent and do better. I'm also grateful to know that I can return to live with Him again and be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I've had the privilege of working with the youth in our ward and stake for about 6 years and I absolutely love them. I used to be intimidated by teenagers, but absolutely love them now that I am among them on a regular basis. They are so full of life and hope for our future. I feel what better place to be than be surrounded by young men and young women who are striving to do good things, especially in a world that throws so many temptations their direction.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

I believe with all my heart that we have a living prophet here on the earth today. I believe that God would never leave us alone and so he has given us a living prophet, even Thomas S. Monson, to continue to lead and guide us. I look forward to every April and October to be able to listen to General Conference and hear the living prophet and apostles speak. Show more Show less
