Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in the beautiful State of Washington. I ride a long board. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a working class family. My parents got a divorce when I was 2 years old and my mom remarried when I was 4. I was then raised with 3 sisters and 3 brothers something like the Brady Bunch but more dissfunctional. I was raised Presbyterian, but by the time I was in middle school I decided it wasn't for me. I was out of control thru my junior high and high school years. At the end of my senior year of high school I decided I needed to make a change because I didn't like the direction I was headed in. I meet someone who was unlike anyone I had ever meet before and she introduced me to the missionaries. Religously everything made sense after that. Now I'm a husband and a father of 3 amazing children. I'm an outdoor enthusiast from camping, hiking, mountain biking, long board riding, fishing, and most sports is how I get my kicks. I also really enjoy watching college athletics. My greatest joys come from my family. Being a Mormon has enhanced everything good in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was at a point in my life that I was searching for something to fill the void I felt. I had been volunteering at the church I was raised in but it just didn't feel right. I meet a young woman who could see past my past and allowed me into her life. That was the first time in my life I saw what I thought a family should be. I then decided to investigate what made their family different from mine. The answer was the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints. I spent hours with the missionaries and on my knees in prayer. I came to the conclusion that the Church is true and have never regretted it since. Having come from a broken family the idea of eternal families rang true to me. I know God loves me and all of us so I always thought the idea that he no longer comunnicates with us as false. I believe that a Prophet walks the earth today. I know the Book of Mormon to be the most correct book on the planet. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to return to live with our heavenly father. Being a Mormon has filled the void in my life. I'm a Mormon because it enhances everything good in my life.

How I live my faith

One of the best things about being a Mormon is all the built in opportunities to make excellent friends and to serve others. Faith is an action word and the action comes from the things I do each day to live my faith. I'm part of a group of men that helps people move in and out of the ward. Helping people move doesn't sound super exciting but you get to help in a time of need and out of that bonds of friendship are formed. Being a Mormon brings people together. The Church also does a tremendous amount of community service. It's nice to be a part of a community clean up project and see the positive results in your neighborhood and community. By being a Mormon I've had opportunities to do things I would not of had by myself.
