Hi I'm Jashin

I have 4 children and a beautiful wife. I live in Mesa, AZ and I love the way the Gospel has changed my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love teaching people some of the life lessons I have learned throughout my life especially as it pertains to the Gospel. I have made many mistakes and I still learn from my mistakes daily. I joined the Church when I was 25 years old and it has transformed my life from someone with no direction and struggling with a debilitating drug addiction to learning how to allow the Gospel to become my strength and foundation for the new life I live today. I am a proud parent of 4 wonderful children 2 girls and 2 boys, and a beautiful wife that is my biggest support for becoming better every single day. I realize that the more I live life with gratitude, faith and love, the closer I get to my Heavenly Father. I love sports and I am a thrill seeker. I am an entrepreneur at heart and I have passion for speaking and teaching others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because when I was 25 years old and struggling with a drug addiction I knew I had to change my life and I knew that God would be the way I would do it, I just didn't know where to go to find him. I received a phone call from a childhood best friends Mother after 12 years of not talking to him or their family. She proceeded to tell me that she had been having dreams about me and that the Spirit was prompting her to find me and share the Gospel with me. I had just moved from Tucson, Arizona where I grew up with them, all the way to a little town in Wisconsin called West Bend. I moved there to get to away from all of the people I was hanging out with in Tucson because I found myself with a terrible drug addiction. I thought that the reason I was having all of my issues was because I never really got to know my Dad, because he wasn't a big part of my life growing up. So when I got this phone call after so many years I was intrigued by her challenge to seek out the missionaries and I felt something inside that caused a yearning to do as she instructed. After receiving the Missionaries in my home I have come to know that this is God's work and his church. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I know that we have living Prophets and Apostles today and I know this only through constant prayer and the evidence of Miracles that have showed up in my life once I made the decision to join this church. I have been able to overcome an addiction of over 10 years and turn my life around. I couldn't imagine my life without the knowledge I have today. I couldn't imagine raising children without having the help and guiding principles the Gospel provides. I couldn't imagine not knowing hat we are children of God. I couldn't imagine not knowing that we have a loving Savior who sacrificed himself for us to be able to overcome our weaknesses and return back to our heavenly home when we die.

How I live my faith

I have the fortunate opportunity to serve in the Sunday School Presidency in my area for our Church. We have the opportunity to help improve the Gospel instruction in our area and our Church leadership has recently introduced a new way of teaching for the youth of our church called "Come Follow Me". This new way of teaching as the Savior taught has been a tremendous experience for me to learn the teaching styles of the Savior. I have been blessed with a multitude of different callings (responsibilities) in the church and my favorite and one that I can do all the time is Serving others and sharing about the gifts the gospel brings to us in our lives. It is a privilege to raise my children to learn the Gospel and make it a part of their daily lives. I recognize the importance that these principles are in the lives of children as they grow up. To know that they are indeed a spirit son or daughter of a loving Father in Heaven. That Jesus Christ is our Savior and has atoned for our sins so that we can return to our heavenly home to be with our families for eternity. To recognize the spirit and learn to listen to that still small voice when it prompts us to take action. We all have reason to be grateful and as we experience this life and do so with a desire to be a good, loving example to our families and those we come in contact with our lives will continue to be nurtured and we will have a greater sense of purpose to live the principles of the Gospel that bring us joy. I am not perfect, however with the ability to recognize areas in my life that I can improve and continually take time to read the scriptures, pray, spend quality time with family, and then live what I learn, I can know peace and happiness which is the ultimate pursuit of us all. This for me is the Joy of knowing and living the Gospel.
