Hi I'm Denise

i grew up in and love the white Mountains in Arizona. I love to read. I am a mormon and proud of it.

About Me

I am a hairdresser, and have been for 44 years. I love my profession. i am a wife, mother and grandmother. My wish is that my family will realize how important the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is to me, and hopefully that will help them to find how important it should be to them. I love the Gospel, it is my rock in times of weakness. i know my Father in Heaven loves me personally, he has shown me many times in big as well as little things. I am so proud to be a member of the church, and am trying to learn to be a better daughter to my Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have gained a testimony that this is the true church on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith was the first prophet in these latter days. I know that we have a prophet on the earth today, and that there has been one on earth continuously since Joseph smith. I know that through the power of god Joseph Smith translated the book of Mormon. i also know that the Book of Mormon is true, that it contains the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want the whole world to have these truths, so i am thankful for the missionary program, and for this opportunity to tell the world how i feel.I love the gospel, it helps me be stronger in the face of trials and adversity,. i truly do not know what i would do without the gospel in my life. It would be like a ship without a sail, just out there treading water going nowhere. Or I would definitely be going in the wrong direction all the time. The gospel keeps me centered, and gives my life a meaning and purpose. I also love the temple and the work that is done there. I love my time spent serving in the Temple and feel so close to my Savior when I am there. it really feels like Heaven on Earth to me.

How I live my faith

I teach a lively class of 8 year olds every Sunday that really keep me on my toes. They are really smart and good kids, and I learn a lot from them. I also am a visiting teacher, which means that I go with another sister and visit certain sisters in our ward and see if they are ok, or need any help and also give them a small spiritual message. My husband and I have the privilege of supervising the cleaning of the Temple in Snowflake by our stake about once every six weeks. What a great joy it is to me to clean the Lord's House. I also serve in the Temple as a Temple worker, and really love doing so. I feel all these callings are such a small service to give for all my Heavenly Father has given me, and they help me grow and learn so much while doing them.
