Hi I'm Brian

I'm a convert to the church as of February 2011 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi my name is Brian, and I have not always been a Mormon. In fact my family is not Mormon. My parents never took me to church growing up and they currently do not practice in any faith of any religion. I grew up with the group of kids that thought church was silly. Well I am 38 yrs old and I finally became a Mormon and I have learned so much about the work that Jesus Christ was teaching us. I have never been married and life has been very difficult. If I would of learned what I am learning now and lived my life the way I have been asked to by Heavenly Father I would be so much farther down the road of the dream life I am now trying to obtain. Since I started reading scriptures and listening to the Spirit I have made some of the biggest life changing choices I have ever made. I am in school, I have good friends that don't break the law, and I currently teach Primary 7 to the 8-11 yrs old children. My life has even made my relationship so much better with my family especially those of my family that do not get involved in church. Now they look upon me like I am setting the appropriate example of how to live. I Love hiking, bowling, and skating my skateboard at the local skate park.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I have a deep belief that this is what religion I need to be on earth right now.. It has such a powerful loving connection to our heavenly father. Being mormon has united me with a world full of people who know the truth and has included me into a family that is bigger then I ever thought possible. I have seen such a change in my life since I became mormon .. In fact the change started soon after i started coming to chruch and listening to the people and the missionaries.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making right choices and listening to the Profit. It was difficult at first but as I learn everything good is not easy, but if your always making right choices it actually becomes very easy. I live my faith by not drinking alcohol or doing illegal drugs.. I actually stay away from the legal drugs to. I also stay away from coffee and other substances. I have found a love for bettering myself and I do what I can to keep my promises that I made to Heavenly Father at my baptism. I also know I cannot be perfect so I pray I will do better every day and I get the chance to renew my promises by taking part in sacrament. This is very important to attend. (there are those weeks I don't feel like going and when I don't go my next week does not get better.) When I do go to sacrament I end up having such a good week... Trust me.. there is something to this.. Its beyond science and explanations. I just know you will understand what I am saying when you give in to learning the life of Jesus Christ and really start living the gospel.
