Hi I'm Travis

I live in the Pacific Northwest. I'm a husband and father of 3. I love the outdoors, building things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the country in Idaho, married a valley girl from southern California so our compromise was to move to the Seattle area where there are mountains & beautiful country for me and the city & the sea for her. Of course we each enjoy all that this new place has to offer. Neither of us have any family in the area, so we have been able to build a strong bond with each other, our 3 wonderful children, and all the new friends we have made since being here. I love snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, camping, Jeeping (one day I'll have a Jeep again), and I also enjoy helping others.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I grew up in the church, gained a strong witness of the truthfullness of it when I was a teenager, and I want to share that witness with others so that they may feel the joy I feel because of it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others as I feel that all should be loved as God loves each of us equally. I try to be the best husband, father, & friend I can be. I try to study the scriptures each day. When I study about Jesus Christ, I learn about his calm approach to every situation he was placed in. I try to emulate that in my life. I try to be grateful for the blessings I enjoy in my life, for they are many. I try to stay in touch with God when times are good, so when things go bad, I'm not ashamed to approach Him. I try not to ask for much, but try to give instead. I try to remember that I cannot do it alone. I say "try" because each day is different than the one before and I don't have it down like I wish I did. But I work as hard as I can to live the way God wants me to and He has let me know that is good enough.
