Hi I'm Paula

I'm a wife to my best friend and a mom of five. I love music, baking, and laughing. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom. I love being there for my husband and kids and I'm so grateful my husband works so hard so I can be home for my family. I love to cook and bake and decorate cakes. I love to play the piano and sing. I enjoy spending time with my sisters and friends. I love to read and absorb myself into a good book. I very much enjoy meeting new people. Playing games is a must. I enjoy creating pretty things; sparkly things catch my attention pretty quickly. And I love to have fun. I believe happiness is a choice.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised eight children in the church. I wanted to know for myself if what they taught us was real, was true. I began my journey when I was a teenager. I looked around other avenues for truth, but nothing brought the peace I felt when I was in the Lord's church. I gained a knowlege that this church is His church. We are His children. He wants us to return to Him. He is very, very real. I learned that a relationship with God is very personal. He wants us to be happy and learn things for ourselves. When I was younger, I was in a marriage that was not good. When it ended, I went through an extremely hard time. I had two small children who I had to provide for and another one on the way, and I was facing this alone. Very soon, however, I realized was that I wasn't actually alone. I had help from all sides, and I came to know a loving Heavenly Father was there every second. My kids and I made it through that tough time smiling. God sent His son to go through what he did here on earth so He can empathize with us and know how to help us heal. He felt my pain, and he knew how to bring me out of it. I am so grateful for Christ and what he went through for all of us so we can repent, be forgiven, be healed, be happy, and ultimately return to God. Being a part of His church helps me feel His love and His presence. It helps me feel peace.

How I live my faith

I am a Cubmaster in our local Boy Scout Troop. I LOVE IT! I love seeing those boys every month be so proud of what they have accomplished and learn and grow into young men. I have worked with young children as well as teenagers, and it brings me such joy to watch them learn for themselves that God is real. I believe in being a friend to everyone. I want people to feel like they are important, because we all are. We are God's children; how can you get more important than that? My faith is not just a Sunday faith for me. It is a part of my life every single second. I have five children who look to me to teach them and love them. I need to be the best person I can be for them, just like my parents were for me. I look to Jesus Christ for the best example, for who better to look to than Him? I know that is how my parents did it, and that is how I want my own children to do it, too.
