Hi I'm Ashley

I was born in California. I'm a competitive soccer player, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest child of four. I enjoy competing in all kinds of sports. I have played softball, basketball, tennis, cross country, track, and soccer. The sport I am most passionate about is soccer. My sister and I train hard everyday to get better in soccer, and we have done many great things. I started Varsity my freshmen year, and I was honored by getting female offensive soccer player of the year for the state of AZ. I enjoy riding dirt bikes, quading, boating, camping, and doing anything outdoors and adventurous.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to be born and raised in the Church by my loving parents. I started learning the principles and teachings of this gospel ever since I could remember. I always knew they were true and that I should keep my standards high and be an example to all those around me, especially since I was around people of other beliefs and standards. I always knew that by keeping the commandments and doing what the lord and his prophets have asked us, we will be blessed. I never thought that by just keeping the sabbath day holy, a seemingly simple request, could be so rewarding . I play competitive soccer, and unfortunately there are some games on Sunday. Ever since I was little I have made that decision to not play any games on Sunday. It was definitely not easy! There were many times where I had my coaches, my teammates , and even my friends try and get me to play only one game! With the help of my heavenly father and the support of my family I was able to be and example to those people and show them how important the gospel of Jesus Christ is to me! I have been blessed because I obeyed one of Gods simple commandments. I know with all my heart, might, mind, and soul that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ, I know that he lives, and I know that by keeping his commandments He will bless us! I know that He knows us all personally, He knows our needs, and He answers our prayers! I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God, and another testament of Christ! My testimony becomes stronger every day through reading the scriptures and living the principals of the gospel! I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

How I live my faith

I participate in seminary every year at school, I read the scriptures every day, I go to young women's every Wednesday, and I attend church every Sunday. I also volunteer at an elementary school with kindergartners.
