Hi I'm Katie

I am married to my best friend. I am a Mother and a Dental Hygienist. I thank my Heavenly Father every day that I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest accomplishment is my family. I give most of my time and effort to being the best wife and mother I can be. This is where I find my greatest joy. I have also worked hard to become the best I can in my profession of Dental Hygiene and continue to work part time when my husband can be home with our children. I love thrift store shopping and garage-sale-hopping. I love being active with my family. Walking, bike riding, running and swimming are my favorite things to do as a family. We live in a beautiful world! I also enjoy my relationships with the wonderful people I associate with. I have been blessed by the service of others and try to make service a part of my everyday life. All of these areas of my life have been greatly enriched by my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember wondering at a young age questions like, Why am I here? Where did I come from? What should I be doing? Where do people go when they die? A knowledge of the true identity of God and his son Jesus Christ and our relationship to them helps us to gain a real perspective on why we are here, what we should do here, and where we are going. If you are wondering these things yourself, you will find the answers you need in the Gospel of Jesus Christ which has been restored in its fullness in these days. From modern day scripture and prophets I've learned that I lived in Heaven, with you and everyone else who has lived, lives, and will live on Earth. We chose to follow the savior and come to Earth to be tested and receive a body. Heavenly Father is the literal Father of our spirits making us truly children of God. He loves us and wants us to obey his commandments which keep us from spiritual and temporal harm so that we can achieve the most happiness here on Earth. I am grateful for the commandments given to us by a loving Heavenly Father. I know that commandments keep us from dangerous paths that would ultimately lead to our destruction. I know that when I follow God's commandments I am truly happy. One day, each of us will be held accountable for what we have done with our lives. We all have the spirit of Christ that directs us and prompts us to make correct decisions. This is the spirit that has led me, and can and will lead you, to know that the truth has been restored in these days. I am grateful to know that the gospel has been restored to the Earth. That Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father did in fact appear in these the latter days to begin the restoration of their gospel. I know the gospel is being and will continue to be preached to all the Earth in preparation for Christ's second coming. It is an amazing work and I know all those who sincerely seek for the truth will find it in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

My faith directs me daily. I am reminded in my daily scripture study what things are truly important in life. I love having pictures of temples and Christ in my home to remind me that life is not only about our profession or income, our looks and weight, but more importantly about serving others and keeping ourselves in a spiritual and physical state to where we can forget ourselves and truly reach out to others. I know that service is one of the most rewarding ways we can live our lives. I love serving my family. My children and my husband come first in my life. My faith helps me to treat them with the most respect and honor our commitments to each other. We are truly the happiest when we follow the savior Jesus Christ in the walls of our home. I know that families can be sealed together forever and this knowledge makes working on and strengthening my marriage and family even more worth while.
